PUBLIC DEBATE: America After the Midterms – More Chaos Ahead?

Anglo-American University, Letenská 5, Prague 1

Strategeo Institute and Anglo-American University (AAU) invite you to attend a public debate taking place after the 2026 US midterm elections.

Is More Chaos Ahead? What Could the 2026 Elections Mean for America and Its Allies?

What impact will the elections have on American politics and the Trump presidency? What will the results mean for the balance of political power in Washington, and to what extent could they affect the president’s ability to pursue his policies at home and abroad?

We will also look at the broader implications beyond the election results themselves. The discussion will explore what a change in the composition of Congress could mean for foreign policy, diplomacy and security, trade and defence, as well as the United States’ relations with Europe, its allies, NATO and Ukraine.

Panelists:

  • Kateřina Weissová – Director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations, CEVRO University
  • Gabriel Eichler – Banker and Investor, Founder of Benson Oak Capital
  • George Hays II – Chair of International Relations and Lecturer at Anglo-American University
  • Ondřej Hejma – Musician and Commentator
